Twitter has been really popular since its inception but I didn’t like to use it at first because I started off following too many people and got pretty confused with the flood of messages everyday! Hahaha!

I do realize, however, that since Twittering, I have sent less text messages to friends, actually saving me money, since we get to update each other via Tweets! Now though, my main purpose of using Twitter is to update my Facebook status and also follow a few people who really have valuable information to share.

Vote On Facebook New TOS

After the hue and cry by users of Facebook on the new terms of use which came into effect quietly in early February, 2009, Facebook has decided to put the new TOS into a vote, allowing ALL existing members to have a say; going where no company has ever gone, yet.

Basically, right now, Facebook is still using their old copy of TOS but in the new one is stated clearly user content will belong to the users themselves though Facebook will store them for a limited time after that content or an account is deleted.

Voting will be open for a duration of 30 days and will close on 29th march, 2009, where upon it is hoped that a new Facebook TOS will be used that complies with the company’s policies and not violate each individual’s privacy and rights to the content uploaded to Facebook and shared among friends.

Wedding Planning Ideas Online

Although I have no plans to get married yet, I have on numerous occasions been roped in by friends to help them plan their wedding. I am not an expert and frankly, all my ideas were taken from the web.

One great resourceful website for wedding couples is at WeddingChannel.com. I am sure you would have read about it if you followed my blog. This site is wonderful in offering Wedding Planning ideas and tips for brides to be who like to be hands-on in planning their own weddings.

When I get married, I too want a DIY wedding planning instead of hiring a professional wedding planner. With so much resources at my fingertips, I am sure the outcome would be great.

24in HD LCD Screen

My friend bought a 24in HD LCD desktop computer monitor a couple of weeks ago and at first, I thought that I wanted to get the same. He got it for RM1399 from LowYat Plaza which we think is a steal since it’s HD.

But now I have changed my mine since he experienced so much problems after changing his monitor. Well, he has no choice but to upgrade his screen since his two-year-old 19in flat screen from Acer broke down.

Some of the problems my friend experienced after installing this 24in HD LCD screen included power supply which he had to upgrade and with that heat generated from the new power supply, he had to add fans. Also, he had to change a new video card to support the monitor.

Frankly, I am not prepared to put even more money in my old system. If I have to change some of my hardware to accommodate a new, larger screen like his, I think I would rather not. I am only using a Samsung 17in CRT monitor and although it is a little small since I open four windows concurrently, as long as it runs fine, I have no complaints.

Longer Cable Headphone

I have been looking for a headphone with at least two metres of cable. Usually, the cheap ones come with only 1.5 metres and I couldn’t use them because my my audio jacks are at the back of my CPU which is stashed under my computer desk. So you can imagine how difficult it is to wear it comfortably.

Previously, I could buy such headphones and they are not very expensive but I think that they are already extinct.

Of course, I could set my audio to come out from the front of the CPU as I do have the jacks but I do not know how to do it and have to send it to the computer shop if I want to have it rectified but I don’t want to take the CPU out unnecessarily.

Anyway, meanwhile I will just continue looking for the headphone since mine broke already, and I am too cheap to buy a Bluetooth headphone! They are so expensive; unless I get it as a gift. LOL

Quite a number of my girlfriends lost their jobs recently and I am not surprised. After all, women are usually the first to be asked to leave when companies make the tough decision to retrench staff.

A couple of friends have decided to go back to school and I think that it’s pretty apt that they have decided to go to a beauty school to take up a beauty course since they were in the industry for quite a while, except that they did not have paper qualification.

HD Video Camcorder

If you read my earlier post, I have been trying to build my YouTube profile. Videos are the next tool for social media advertising and I like to be prepared and build my portfolio, though right now, I only have slightly more than forty videos.

Recently, my friend bought a digital camera that has the ability to shoot High Definition videos. Besides shooting videos, he also edits the raw files and I marvel at the quality of the videos that he has uploaded to YouTube.

Comparing my videos to his, I have to say I am so ashamed of my video quality that sometimes I would rather not upload them online. LOL

I have been thinking that I no longer want to buy a digital camera that I have been eyeing for sometime now. I now want to get a HD video camcorder, after all, it could also take digital photos, right?
