Buy Baby Gifts Online

Can you believe that I have not stepped out of the house for the past two weeks? I have been taking care of my seriously ill dog and I can’t leave him at home unattended. Of course, I still work since I run a home office.

I used to go shopping almost every evening but for the past two weeks, I have been shopping online a lot. It’s very convenient and I get my purchases pretty fast too. Thankfully, unlike my sister, I have no qualms with shopping online since I only shop at verified and secured ecommerce sites.

This reminds me that I am supposed to buy baby gifts for the occasion of the full moon of my friend’s twin baby sons. Gosh they are so cute I hope I could get away just a little while to attend their party!

Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0

My friend bought a copy of Kaspersky anti-virus software awhile back and it comes with Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 for free. He gave it to me since I am using a smart phone and he is just using a basic mobile phone. He said that only I come to mind because a lot of his other friends are also using just ordinary mobile phones that do not require the security that mind does. Moreover, I use my mobile device for a living. It is a work tool so he figured that I would be able to make the best use of it.

My friend sent me the download instructions and the key to register the software which I did. Unfortunately, it’s only good for six months. One would think that for such a large company like Kaspersky, they should at least offer us a year’s protection, right? Anyway, six months is better than none and long enough for me to try it out and I have to say that once this license expires, I wouldn’t be renewing it. LOL

Pet Society Paw Point Hack

If you have been reading my other blog, you would know that I am quite addicted playing free Facebook games. Well, so far, I only play Pet Society and Restaurant City daily and I am happy to say that I am not using any game scripts or hacks!

You know, the other day, upon logging into Pet Society, I was surprised to see that one of my friends made a huge paw point jump by almost 40,000 just overnight. I wonder if that is possible to gain that many points by playing manually even with playing for a full 24 hours. From experience, I don’t think so.

I promptly forgot about it after finished playing the game for the day. The next day, I got an even bigger surprise. This player jumped by 600,000 points overnight. Yes, you read right, that’s 600,000 paw points! If it was possible to gain 40,000 in a day, it definitely IS NOT possible to gain 600,000 within 24 hours! I couldn’t believe my eyes too. Should I report her??

Option Trading Tools

A friend told me that he has been researching on option trading and it would make good side income if he could make some small gains. He’s not greedy, he said. Moreover, he told me that he could trade options online at his office since business is so slow lately. Well, he could do that since he is the boss!

I have never traded options before but I know that there are some pretty useful tools that he could use. I don’t know how good they are since I have never used them before but I believe that once he has learned the ropes, he would be able to make use of the resources and tools to help him earn his pocket money. Hopefully, he will remember me then!

Yahoo! Shuts 360°

Here’s bad news for you if you use Yahoo! 360°. I received an announcement from them a couple of days ago that they will be shutting down the service on 13th July 2009.

I remember some years ago when Yahoo! First launched 360° to help us connect better with our friends and family who are also Yahoo! Users, I received quite a few invitations from friends to set up a 360° page. I did but luckily I never put more effort on it than just inputting my name and location. I feel for those who have spent time blogging on Yahoo! 360° and even took pains to create a custom Yahoo! 360° template.

Even though users would be able to take along their content to a new Yahoo profile and blog that Yahoo is offering, they would not be able to take along their custom theme.

Writing from memory, off hand, I could remember that Yahoo has already close Photos, Briefcase and Geocities. Now, they are closing 360°. I wonder what is next. Would it be Yahoo! Mail?

Gmail To Be Out Of Beta Soon

I read that Google is considering bringing Gmail out of Beta, after five years of first launching their popular webmail service.

If you have read about my bad experience with Gmail, though I still continue to use it, I am rather apprehensive that they will be out of Beta.

I wrote to them about the problem that I faced and can you believe that for such a serious security breach, they have chosen to ignore my concerns? Yes, until today, so many months after, or perhaps it already has been more than a year, I have not even heard back from anyone who works in the Google Gmail office.

Bah, Google better make sure that they have covered all security holes before declaring Gmail free from Beta because then, there would be no room for errors.

Opportunities In Online Education

I read about a single lady who said that she is not able to look for a job because she doesn’t have a car or day care for her three children. She currently lives with her parents who are on disability and are not able to care for the grandchildren while she goes out to work.

The fact that she was able to write her story and publish it online means that she has access to the internet. With access to the internet, she could enrich herself with online education. Upon graduation from an accredited online university, a whole new world of opportunities would open up for her.

I guess she hasn’t considered this before but online education is getting more and more common now and certifications from accredited online institutes of higher learning are recognized by employers worldwide.
