Samsung is planning to offer tablets that run Windows because of a continuing dispute with Apple and in a bid to increase their range of tablet choices. I am in need of a tablet because of travelling and it is very heavy to lug around a notebook but I am reluctant to commit to one because Apple, Blackberry and other tablets that run Android do not offer me the feature that I want.
Acer has a good one that runs on Windows but it is not as light as I would like my tablet to be. I hope that Samsung can come out with an ultra thin and light tablet, like their Samsung Tab, and run it on Windows 7. Ideal size should be 8in. Then, that would be my perfect tablet!
A friend was saying that she would like a change in her career path. That is certainly a difficult decision to make, but easier since she is still single. This is the best time to change, actually. She said she has found a good Houston beauty school to enroll in. She said since she plans to take up a beauty course, she wants to go with the best.
This Houston beauty school is managed by Regency Beauty Institute. It is a leading beauty institute in the United States, with a huge network of over 80 campuses in the country. I like that students are trained in an almost like real environment and graduates are entered into a placement program.

Google Street View is working with Tourism Malaysia to document and highlight interesting landmarks, but that are less popular, on Google Street View. Malaysians have been asked to vote for their favourite places that they would like to see on Google Street Views.
Ideally, we would like those that are interesting but lesser know to be tabulated and documented, alongside the already photographed millions of times landmarks like KL Twin Towers and A’Famosa, for example.

The 6th Blog Day is celebrated on 31st Aug, 2011 and what we are supposed to do to celebrate this day, as a blogger, is to publish a post on our blog on 31st Aug, 2011, writing about Blog Day and include six blogs that we like, with the goal of sharing the blogs with our readers.
The six blogs, preferably, have to be different from our own culture, point of view, attitude and writing style. Besides unearthing six “new” blogs, we also have to let our readers know why we have chosen the six blogs to recommend on Blog Day.
Sounds like a very interesting global blogging activity, don’t you think so? Imagine what happens if your blog goes viral.
This post brought to you by Net10. All opinions are 100% mine.
After discovering about Net10 a couple of weeks ago, I have checked out their plans in depth and talked to a Real NET10 customer and found that the plan that’s most suitable for heavy mobile users, whether personal or business use, is the Net10 Monthly Unlimited plan. It gives us strong coverage across the country, plus unlimited talk, SMS and data for only $50 a month. Also, I love the fact that there are no contracts to sign. As this is so, we are not required to undergo credit checks. Best of all, there are no bills to worry about!
Since there is no contract to sign, we can always upgrade or downgrade our plan as often as we like, to meet our usage of the phone. I believe that sometimes, we don’t need to use our phone that often so it’s a good idea to downgrade to a plan that is cheaper.
In addition, Net10 also has a long distance call plan that is available to over 75 countries at exceptionally low rates. this is definitely the service to go with if you regularly make international calls.
Net10 only partners with major mobile phone brands, we have a good selection of phones to choose from, by LG, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, etc. We surely will be able to find a phone that meets our requirements and budget.

Beginning 25th Aug, Facebook will roll out new privacy options that are more open and easily accessible, and hopefully, easier to understand and use. According to Facebook, during this transition period, our existing Privacy settings will still remain the same, until we make changes when the new controls are available to us.
Some of the changes include the ability to approve photo tagging before it appears on our profile. On the other hand, Universal tagging allows Facebookers to tag anyone to photos, not just fellow Facebook users. I wonder how these outsiders can remove their tag since if they are not Facebook users, how are they going to know they have been tagged?
Will have to see how these new privacy options work once they re rolled out.
RIM, the maker of BlackBerry smart phones and tablets, will soon announce a music service for their smart phone users, and will call it BBM Music. According to reports, this music service will work with RIM’s BlackBerry Messenger system. This means that users can share their favourite music over the messenger system with their friends.
Obviously, this move is to capture the younger smart phone users who have yet to try out BlackBerry, which is primarily a business phone. In addition, their tablet didn’t really catch on too. I don’t know if we need yet another music service. I never use it anyway because I simply have no time.
