Walgreens Prescription Savings Club

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Walgreens is currently holding a super promotion. The Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens will until 31st Jan, 2012, be only $10 for family membership and $5 for individuals. For the family membership, it covers the member and spouse and children below 22 years of age. Additionally, the membership even covers the family pet(s).

A membership with Walgreens Prescription Savings Club entitles one to discount prices on prescriptions, not only all the generic brands but also on 8000 brand name medications. This also applies to flu shots, diabetic suppliers, nebulizers and even pet prescriptions. Members receive bonuses when they purchase any photofinishing services or buy products with the Walgreens brand.

If you are on long term medication, I am sure you know that the cost of medication continues to rise. Having a membership subscription like this will help you cut cost and stay within budget even if medication gets more and more expensive! It is great that this membership covers brand name medication as well, and even for pets. I had a sick pet before and wished there was something like this back then!

If you like Walgreens, and would like to stay updated with news and happenings, LIKE Walgreens on Facebook and/or follow Walgreens on Twitter. I already have.

iPad 3 Possibly Hit Malaysia in March

I have been reading a lot about iPad 3 rumours lately. As someone who has been holding on my purchase of the iPad since the first generation, I am looking forward to check out the third iPad and you know what? Rumour has it that it will hit Malaysian market as soon as late March. That’s like two months more ONLY.

Some friends are telling me that there aren’t much changes compared to iPad 2 in iPad 3, and if I could hold of purchasing the iPad 2, I could do the same with iPad 3. Some others say that if I didn’t feel the need to have an iPad why start carrying an extra device? LOL

Information On Topamax

It seems ironic that such a good medication used to treat or even just control epileptic seizures in children and adults has been linked to a birth defect in the lips and palate of children, whose mothers were prescribed with Topamax while pregnant. Of course, there are many degrees of severity and I don’t think all cases were caused by Topamax.

However, it is not surprising that some of the victims have jointly filed ad Topamax lawsuit to seek compensation from the company. I am not sure of the chances of them winning the case, hence I feel that they should look for a reputable and experienced attorney to handle their case, particularly someone who is an expert in personal injury law.

If you know of someone who is in such a situation, do let her know to contact the law firm below:

Facebook’s Open Graph

Facebook is no longer fun to use, at least for me. No doubt, I still play ONE Facebook game, and I still share my blog posts to the public through Facebook. And once in a while, I do mind someone else’s business by checking their wall and photo albums.

If you noticed, I never visit the Timeline. Well, not for many months now already. And with the launch of Open Graph, which allows many apps to post updates automatically on what users of said apps were doing, the Timeline would be spammed. And I don’t want to see that.

It is a pity really, to witness the disintegration of what used to be a fun social networking website. It’s no longer fun now. In fact, it stresses me out with that much of extra useless information.

Smoke Signals Online News Portal

A friend asked me what newspaper I read and was surprised to learn that I no longer buy newspaper. In fact, I haven’t bought any for years because I read everything from online news portals and websites. It’s convenient, saves plenty of money and news updates are quick. I know some older people still reading hard copy newspaper but luckily, my parents are changing with times too.

If you live in North Georgia and would love to read community news, like me, you should check out Smoke Signals, an online news portal for North GA News. They do have a printed edition but for me, I really prefer to read news online because it is a lot faster, convenient and clean!

For its online edition, besides news, it has a very informative classifieds page that provides useful information to the community, especially when it comes to looking for a job, or a general worker. Also, one important aspect is that advertisers could easily reach out to targeted readers.

In addition, readers could easily check out the best places to dine in the area, and where to look for the best wineries in North Georgia! Just by reading Smoke Signals, one could have all these information without wasting time searching all over the internet.

New Device – iPod Touch

I’ve just got my hands on a brand new device. I didn’t buy it. It was a gift, a small gift since it’s just 8GB, and I just checked Apple Store, it’s selling at US$199 only. Oh well, if I was the one buying, I would have bought a tablet. At least it has a larger screen size, so I could work on it more comfortably.

As it is, right now, I already have an Android smart phone, a Nokia smart phone, an iPhone and now, iPod Touch. Agh… they all work almost the same, right? I need tablet! What should I do with my spanking new 8GB white iPod Touch?

Topamax

Have you heard of Topiramate, that goes by the brand name of Topamax, has been linked to cleft lip birth defect. Some of the defects are so serious, babies spot an open groove from the roof of mouth to nose. What a sight!

It is no wonder that the on-going Topamax lawsuit is still not settled. I just feel that more people should know and word should get out to victims, so that they know where to go to, who to look for and what options they have, if they were in such a situation.

I know of a law firm that has experienced attorneys who handle personal injury cases like these. If you are in need of further information on Topamax, feel free to contact the law firm below:
