Luxury Watches For The Rich

A couple of months ago, my friend told me that he bought an expensive watch. I asked him how much he spent and he quoted a four figure amount and I nearly fainted. Of course, it is not as expensive as Patek Phillipe watches but it is still expensive to me.

However, my friend justified his extravagance by saying that a watch is something that a father passes to his son, just like mothers will pass jewelry to the daughters, sort of like a family heirloom! Based on this theory, my friend says that he has to buy a good watch that will last through generations.

My friend confessed that at first, he wanted to buy Breitling watches as their designs caught his fancy but unfortunately, these are out of his league. I am sure you know that these high end watches like Breitling, Corum, Patek Philippe, Rolex and Van Cleef & Arpels could only be afforded by the ~~filthy~~ rich like celebrities and royals.

Talking of luxury watches, I still “owe” my friend a Vacheron Constantin. Hah…. he requested that for his birthday last year. I think I will just send him a photo of the watch
