Three Links Per Post Maximum
September 10, 2007 – 3:15 pmI read somewhere a couple of days ago, I have forgotten where, that we should only have a maximum of three outgoing links per post and we cannot have more than a hundred outgoing links per page, so I am taking it to mean the blogroll and other links on the sidebar.
It is very reasonable to have a maximum of three links per post and if they are spread out well, the post would not look spammy at all. However, there are advertisers, I was told, that requested for EIGHT (8!!) links in one post and this advertiser is paying only $2. I keep thinking perhaps this blogger must have interpreted the instructions wrongly?? Or is it really true that the advertiser wanted to get maximum bang out of his money?
When I first started blogging for pay, I was given a task and the description included a long list of links. I was not told if I should incorporate them all into my post or if they were for my reference only, but I *think* I tried my best to fit in quite a few links to my post.
And because of that, I received a ban. It was really unnecessary to place a ban because the advertiser could just contact me to remove x number of links and the post would have been fine.
Now I know better. If the advertiser does not mention about additional links, only one goes into the post. Better for me too, right?

That’s terrible. I think that the advertiser set 50 words minimum but hoping for 300 words. That’s what I get too from reading the stuff they want me to write, surely will surpass 50 words.
