Password Overload
September 10, 2007 – 2:30 pmDo you feel that each and every day that you are online and as you register yourself with more and more websites that you will one day forget all your important passwords and then not be able to log in? I know that most websites have a security question like “What is your favourite colour?” or something like that.
Well, what if I don’t even remember what is my favourite colour anymore? It has changed according to my mood haha like the mood ring! So how?
This is one of the reasons I am so reluctant to register with new websites, especially social sites or those that require me to register to vote, like Digg.com. Yes, it’s here that you can find a non-Digger, non-Facebooker and non-Twitter, despite their popularity *shrug*
So you can imagine how I hate it if my cache is cleared or my computer underwent a reformat that my browser does not auto log me into my favourite sites. I would then have to bring out my little black book because I can’t bloody remember them all!
And yes, my secret book is REALLY black and it is REALLY small!

I used to laugh at my mother for always writing down all of her usernames and passwords but now I find myself having to do the same thing. For some of my accounts I have to know about six different passwords and codes since they rotate and I don’t know which combination I’ll get.
The thing with questions like “favorite color” and “mother’s maiden name” is that anyone who knows me even a little will know those and victims of crimes are often known to the criminals. So I have to think of something oddball to write in those slots and then I sometimes find myself going “what did I write here?” lol

LOL Joana,
Thanks for coming by and commenting. You know what, there was once that I even forgot MY BLOG ADDRESS!
So I typed in the wrong address on my browser and went “SHIT! My blog’s offline!!!” LOL Thank God it was my own mistake but that sure gave me a fright!
